Headed home

What a GREAT time we have had! The youth had a BLAST yesterday and the laser show and fireworks were truly incredible! We are at Lenox Mall in Atlanta for a little down time and to eat some lunch, then we will be on the road home! The students have such mixed feelings about coming home. God has been at work and I think they fear facing the reality of real life. Pray for them as they continue in the commitments they made at camp. See you back in Inverness!

BUSY, BUT FUN!

What an awesome time we are having! The students are having a blast and God is at work. They have learned this week about the Way, being rooted in Christ, being marked by Christ as we reflect love and wisdom to the world, and today they will be learning about the Holy Spirit's role in our lives. They will evaluate what spiritual gifts they have and how they are using them in the body of Christ. It is so exciting to see Him at work in the lives of our students. They truly want to come back changed! Tonight camp will wrap up and tomorrow we will pack up and head to Stone Mountain for an adventure filled day. Yesterday Justin was nominated as Youth Minister of the Day by our students which meant wearing a lovely sash all day and getting high fives from EVERYONE who passed him on campus! He was encouraged by the affection our students expressed towards him as they each wrote a note to him. Pray for us as our time here comes to a close. Pray that what we have experienced here will not be left or end here! Partnering with you,
Alana

We've Arrived at Camp

We made the 8 hour trip with no problems! We are here at the Georgia Baptist Convention Center in Toccoa, Ga. This place is absolutely beautiful. The camp is situated on a large lake that the students will begin to swim in today. Last night was an awesome night of worship. The camp pastor, Dave Rhodes, spoke from Jeremiah 4 encouraging the students to give all of their heart to God. He even used fruit common to our state to get the message across to the students. We closed the evening out last night with some church group time, giving the students some pillowcases that the children's ministry had made especially for them. We are excited about what the rest of the week holds!

Pictures will be added later in the week....right now the internet connection is very slow. Sorry.
